Our 100 year old building has a beautiful and trying history. It has seen many different faces come and go but the one thing that has lasted through it all is its ability to bring folks together. From the stories we’ve heard about finding love here when it was an ice cream shoppe in the 50’s, to finding our own community through the flood tragedy - this space truly brings out the best in our small but mighty town.
To open a business, have an immediate flood, then start from scratch to re-build was certainly a hard lesson in entrepreneurship. Though the recovery process was not nearly as difficult as the heart-breaking feeling of watching helplessly from the sidelines as flood waters rose and destroyed all our newly finished renovations just four days after our Grand Opening.
We were fortunate to have flood insurance that time at the requirement of our loan, but it’s no easy feat to save for such a significant amount of money every year as a brand new business trying to gain traction. We are committed to serving and growing with our community through this space but we need your help.
